Baba Ali…Muslim Marriage Movement

Baba Ali here, announcing my new project the Muslim Marriage Movement.

After countless requests for marriage help as I speak across the world at various events, I’m responding to the challenge.

It’s no secret that the Muslim community is facing a challenge finding our other half and a challenge staying married to our other half. Even my friends struggled and began to lose motivation. With the marriage tips and tricks I used to successfully marry, my friends have also been able to get married and are happily married right now alhamdulillah.

I want to share those same tips and tricks with you. But – and this is important – I want to hear about the struggles you might be going through to make sure that your specific concerns are addressed.

Share your feedback in a quick anonymous survey. Click this link to get started – it’ll take less than 30 seconds.

    Asalam Alaikum,
Brothers and Sisters, I left Half Our DEEN because it was too painful for me to remain on the site. I am A revert (not a convert, there is no such thing!) to Islam, from the United States and when I came to this beautiful deen I thought I was leaving bigotry and racism behind, but that is not the case. I know it was naive for me to believe this, but I did not have any relatives to teach me how to practice Islam so I learnt though the guidance of Allah swt and studying. I thought that all Muslims did this, and I suppose I just expected too much. The reason that the Ummah is in the state it is when it comes to the marriage situation is because we did not listen to the prophet (saws) when he warned us that until we follow what we are supposed to, there will be fitnah (I am paraphrasing). We seem to be concerned with everything except what matters when it comes to marriage , WE do not need to come up with a plan, or tricks, or tips when it comes to getting married, and staying married. The prophet (saws) gave us the blueprint to success. Do any of us know better than him? Is there a better way to do things than following the instructions of Allah swt? Ofcourse not! I am not excluding myself from the ummah. When it comes to choosing someone, we all have preferences (myself included), but it is more about how she is, and who she is, not where she is from! If we are only willing to marry someone who fits our preferences then we could miss the person we were meant to marry. I am an African American from the USA, and I have come to realize that we have a horrible reputation around the world. It does not matter that I am a Muslim, just because I am a Black man from America, I am looked down upon by my fellow Muslims as unsuitable for marriage. There is no such thing as culture in this deen! People from other cultures think that I don’t understand culture. How can this be true? The culture that I come from is known worldwide, and extremely influential in the world of fashion, and entertainment, but I left all that behind for something better, ISLAM! On the day of judgement it is not going to matter how much money you had, or where you were from, we are not going to care about anything, but going to JENNAH, OR THE HELLFIRE! I ask you this my brothers and sisters, If we are not going to care about anything else then, why do we care about anything else now?

Wa’alikum Salam Brother. I feel your pain and know its a true problem in the ummah. As an Iranian I had many of the same challenges and plenty others getting married. This and many reasons are why I’m doing this so we can tackle the issue head on! I’m a “revert” too as well as many of my friends and yes this challenge is there…Don’t lose hope in the site or Allah as you never know how and where Allah (swt) will bestow your bride. The site is just a means not the end. Allah chooses. It’s frustrating and this is my humble attempt to bring some of these issues to the surface. May Allah comfort you and guide you. I promise you what Allah has for you is much better and is worth the struggle!
